Integrated Space Plan
This track will address recent developments in the revived Integrated Space Plan project. The original ISP was developed in the late 1980s by aerospace giant Rockwell International in support of the Bush Administration’s Space Exploration Initiative. It has recently been updated by Integrated Space Analytics, LLC as a tool to add context to contemporary space development activities. The ISP is a comprehensive synthesis of capabilities, technologies, development options, and hundreds of space program elements synergistically arranged to support long-range space objectives. As a work in progress, it pulls together the best ideas and futuristic concepts of NASA, the world’s space agencies, and the world’s best thinkers, and arranges them in a way that synergistically portrays human expansion into space. The ISP sets to a rational time line the key elements from present and past NASA, industry, and government studies that lay the foundation for human travel to the stars.
