Dr. Autry is a strong advocate for increased U.S. investment in space exploration and active support for the development of a self-sustaining commercial space market. Dr. Autry believes the divisive politics of Moon vs. Mars, commercial vs. government, robotic vs. human exploration and science vs. business are founded upon a misguided zero sum, Malthusian economic model; one which commercial space development is already disrupting. He foresees a revenue generating space economy which offers a promising future for our nation and humankind as the best way to enable and support our future missions of discovery. Investing in and executing on that future is the foremost responsibility of our generation.
