David G. Schrunk, M.D. is President of the Quality of Laws Institute.
The Quality of Laws institute is working to establish the science and engineering disciplines of laws (of government). Present activities include the development of quality programs (quality design, quality assurance, quality improvement) for laws and lawmaking, and expansion of the knowledge data base of the science of laws.
David authored The End of Chaos: Quality Laws and the Ascendancy of Democracy, Lunar Development: An entry from Macmillan Reference USA’s Macmillan Reference USA Science Library: Space Sciences, and coauthored The Moon: Resources, Future Development, and Settlement.
His experience includes periods at NASA Manned Space Flight Center, U. S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory, McDonnell-Douglas Astronautics, and the University of Missouri. He worked at NASA Johnson Space Center during the Apollo Moon missions, then on the Viking Mars Program, and trained NASA flight controllers. He is a Member of the Lunar Economic Development Authority’s (LEDA) Board of Directors, and a Member of the Mexican Space Society’s (SEM) Board of Advisors.
David earned his BS in Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University in 1963 and his M.D. at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine in 1967. He was board certified in Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in 1975.
